Merkin Hall in NYC and the Shostakovich Piano concerto is recorded at a live concert played with the Novi Sad Chamber Orchestra at the Synagogue in Novi Sad, Serbia. The performances are powerful and emotional. The Bach partita No.6 is one of the jewels of this recording. It stands on it own, with its eloquent phrasing and note-to-note meaning.
