简介
Combining a wide variety of vibes from rock to funk to disco and more Odd Numbers has created sound that is rooted in hip hop, and yet cannot be limited to that. The tracks on their debut album "Here You Go Little Girl" flow from gritty hip hop anthems, to high energy tunes with catchy hooks, to soulful story telling ballads without missing a beat. Much of the music carries a serious message dealing with real human issues but throughout the album Odd Numbers also lets you know that they like to have fun, and they want you to come join the party. The two emcees in the group, B-Wise and Henrock, provide the hip hop aspect of the trio, bringing two completely different yet complimentary styles to the group's sound. 86, the group's singer, has a wide variety of vocal ranges that he laces their tracks with, giving the group the backbone of their totally original sound. The group performs with DJ Sami Automatic, turntablist and club DJ, who wows onlookers with dazzling displays of technical skill. The group has been performing locally for about two years now, and has built up a large following in the Raleigh area. Due to their alternative sound, Odd Numbers have found themselves at home performing in front of both hip hop and rock audiences. Fresh off the release of their debut album, the group is preparing to take the east coast by storm, and not long after that they prepare to tackle the west coast. These seasoned performers have shared the stage with acts such as Black Moon, Sean Price, L.E.G.A.C.Y., The Away Team, and KRS-ONE. Their high energy shows get the crowd involved instantly and are a large reason why they have built such a loyal hometown fan-base. Odd Numbers has performed in over fifty shows at: The Lincoln Theatre, The Brewery, The Berkely Cafe, The Library, Bickett Gallery, Raleigh Music Hall, AKA Lounge, Aries Lounge, The Red Rooster, Temple Ball, and The Skylight Exchange.
