Composer / Musician Jim Couchenour traveled extensively with Contemporary Christian Band Deliverance, recording two releases with them before embarking on a brief solo career. Jim joined Alternative Christian Funk band, SounDoctrine in 2003 and began traveling and recording with the group, releasing his solo debut CD, Living Colour in October 2004. He serves his congregation at New Hope Community Church and held the position of Worship Leader from 1996 thru 2002. Jim and The New Hope Worship Team recorded and released 'Warehouse Praise'in 1999. He is presently Director of Marketing & Ministry Services with Cogun, Inc. Jim and Lynette, his wife of 22 years are the proud parents of Katie, 19 and Jamie, 18. His hobbies include making rustic furniture, computer graphic arts, writing dramas, creating music, reading western novels, running & drinking Chai tea. Jim Couchenour has lived with a condition known as Tourette's syndrome since he was very young. This condition is a neurological disorder that causes vocal grunts, ticks, and in severe cases, outbursts of inappropriate language. He lived with a mild form of Tourettes for 26 years before discovering what it actually was. His instrumental composition, 'Tourette's Tribute,' from the Living Colour CD is a celebration of the fact that you can have Tourettes Syndrome and stil lead a healthy, normal life.
