The last of three new songs revealed with the special re-release of Manu Chao's 1998 cult classic 'Clandestino', “Roadies Rules” is taken from the initial Clandestino recording sessions, and reworked by its original sonic co-pilots Manu and Renaud Letang. It is an autobiographical blues track about feeling suicidal on the road somewhere, in the middle of nowhere, Chao singing: "No reason to wake up for another day". Woozy, hungover Mexican brass adds to the sense of disorientation and despair.
