liaoliao.tw have teamed up with German House and Techno artist Domenique Xander for the fourth release in our 'Fruit Of Life' label series. Two years ago we managed to get hold of a demo from Domenique for our Metaformosis radio show. This promo has been ever present in our collection, and the tracks always go down a treat when dropped. So, we thought we should approach Domenique to see if he had ever released any of the tracks and fortunately for us he hadn't. So here it is. Starting with a deep, spaced out, quirky, funk filled analogue cut, 'Spacetime' captures all the organic flair felt in a live electronic jam. Wildly cool orchestrated drum machine percussion drives its bouncy squelchy synth stabs and simple dubbed out grooving bass. Domenique Xander has teamed up with old friend and music making compadre Tobias Rueffler for the second track in the EP 'Ramontique'. A deliciously smooth jazz vibes track overlaid with crisp rubbery analogue melodies, which still keeps the live in the studio feel with its production. 'Ramontique' is a track you just want to kick back and relax too. The final track from the EP 'Sunday' is sure to be setting the atmosphere at pool party's and sun filled disco's this summer. With its hypnotic vocal and chords, ultra raw house kick and hat laced with perfectly executed percussion and added bongos. We dare you to try not bounce to this one!
