Kat and Maggie, founders of Loveful Heights, grew up in the Genessee Valley Region of Western Upstate New York. They met in the summer sun of a soccer field when they were 8 years old and performed for the first time at a talent show when they were 11. After years of friendship and song, Maggie and Kat hit the road in the late summer of 2009 and called themselves Loveful Heights. The project was gathering steam and receiving good press when both young women decided to marry and Maggie settled down with a new baby. Now Loveful Heights is ready to release songs they recorded in the summer of 2010. The album was recorded just outside of Burlington, Vermont in Ryan Powers' studio. Kat's husband, Lee Anderson, was so inspired by the Loveful Heights project that he commissioned the help of some of the best musicians in the Burlington area to add their two cents to the foundation that Kat and Maggie had laid. The result is Loveful Heights' first studio album. The classic harmonies of two female voices, singing the truth of their hearts, combined with the inspired touches of an upright bass, percussion, piano, pedal steel, cello and euphonium, combine to create a musical experience that comforts the heart and has been known to cause some toe-tapping.
