简介
The hope of Kyle Dillingham's first-ever, much-anticipated Christmas CD, "A Very Kyle Christmas", is to inspire people to think about their unique gifts and talents and how they might passionately use them to honor God and serve others this Christmas season. The CD includes many favorites, such as “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Mary, Did You Know?,” “Silent Night,” and many more. Especially exciting is the four new original songs on the album! “Earthly Father,” for example, is told from the perspective of Joseph, the Father of Jesus, at the end of his life, reflecting upon his first Christmas. Kyle has composed and arranged most of the music in an acoustic style that always features violin/fiddle. The trio vocal sound of his band, Horseshoe Road, is for sure present, but there are tracks that just feature solo violin and solo voice. As a special addition to this compilation of styles, the album features a solo performance by Callen Clarke on the Oud, a Middle-Eastern instrument. World renowned violin sensation and Oklahoma Musical Ambassador, Kyle Dillingham, has performed his magic in 30 countries, which has electrified and energized audiences around the world. The Enid, Oklahoma native picked up the violin when he was nine, and eight years later, he gave two featured performances at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. Though he had an attractive offer to continue in Nashville, Kyle always believed that his musical talents could serve Oklahoma best by staying in Oklahoma. Honored by Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, Kyle was selected as a recipient of the 2009 Governor's Arts Award, acknowledging his life's work as a violinist, vocalist, musical ambassador for the state of Oklahoma and for his gift to connect with people throughout the world. As a Creativity Ambassador, he performed as a part of the Creativity World Forum in November 2010, where he received a medal of honor and took the stage with Oklahoma natives, Hanson and Leona Mitchell, among others. He was a featured performer for the King of Malaysia, the Princess of Thailand, Singapore’s National Day Celebration, and he was televised throughout all of China. A frequent visitor to Washington D.C, he has performed for the Japanese, Thai, Romanian, and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors, to name a few. He has also taken the stage with Roy Clarke, Hank Thompson, Lisa Ling, Vince Gill, Jimmy Webb, Toby Keith and Thailand’s Pop Superstar, Tik Shiro. Kyle and composer, Callen Clarke, have officially launched an initiative to revive Symphonic Music throughout the United States and the World through the creation and performance of exciting new orchestral repertoire. Another collaboration spawned Dunham and Dillingham Publishing, which has released the first in a series of language learning programs, “Il Fait Beau”, a revolutionary 10-CD set that utilizes his original music with a thrilling story to learn French twice as fast. Kyle’s band, Horseshoe Road, is the 2011 International Acoustic Music Awards' winner in the Country/Bluegrass category. The Bangkok Post wrote of Kyle’s performance in the musical, “Phar Lor”, “Dillingham can bewitch and conjure a range of emotions from his violin…The music becomes the most intriguing and seductive aspect of this production.” Paula Kerger, President of PBS, said of Kyle’s exceptional talent, “Ken Burns and I travel all over the United States. After hearing your performance, we turned to each other and agreed that we had witnessed something amazing.”
