Michael Duchesne (dú-shane) is a Soul singer-songwriter from Sydney Australia. An engaging artist & performer, Duchesne has honed his craft to a fine edge, performing throughout Australia’s East coast & frequenting some of Sydney’s top live music venues. After opening for American artist Eric Benét on his Australian tour in 2011, Duchesne landed a spot on the hit TV show 'The Voice Australia', where under the mentorship of ‘Coach Seal’, he made Seal’s top 6. His final performance - The Beatles’ classic ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ was broadcast Live to over two million people on the first night alone. Duchesne has sung & played at premier events & venues throughout Australia, including sharing the headline slot at The Manly Jazz Festival with Lionel Cole in 2013. Alongside the likes of Maxwell, D’angelo, Mos Def & Common, Duchesne opened the international stage at the Sydney leg of ‘Soulfest’ 2014. Receiving praise from the likes of Grammy awarding winning producer Shannon Sanders (India.Arie) & M-Phases, Duchesne has an acute talent for songwriting and production.
