Composed after a trip to Turkey, Femme brings together various female virtuosos from around the world. Appearing are famous Czech violinist and vocalist Iva Bottova, Turkish Kanoun player Didem Basar, Sephardic flamenco singer Tamar Ilana, Balkan vocalist Eva Salina, Sergiu Popa on accordion, Ariane Morin playing the saxophone, and Giselle Numba One singing as well. The album was produced by Josh Dolgin, also known under his artist name Socalled, who added an edgy, dansable and groovy touch.
