In January 2011 Teresa Scanlan (Miss Nebraska) performed a special edited version of Calvin's legendary "Whitewater Chopped Sticks" culminating in her win of the Miss America crown. A pageant coup d'etat, no one had won the pageant at 17 years old for some 90 years, much less a contestant from Nebraska which state had never won a Miss America pageant ever. "Whitewater Chopped Sticks 2.0" is a celebration of this classic song with Calvin going back into the studio to record a new version some 25 years after the original was released on his album "Through High Places". In addition, Calvin recorded 2 other songs also destined to be classics. Calvin's version of the Ukrainian Carol (Shchedryk) or "Carol of the Bellz" will get your blood pumping as his octave runs and dreamscapes give a fresh new approach to this classic tune.
