Chant Your Heart Open (Vol.1) is the first cd of a series of chants from around the world that Jivan shares in his Chanting The Rainbow singing sessions in Auroville, India. These are songs i learned at Rainbow Gatheings, Dances of Universal Peace, and Kirtans. I had fun making this cd in a "live" feel, where basic tracks were recorded and then the harmony and improv tracks were overdubbed, and give the listener some creative ideas as to possible harmonies, countermelodies, and spontaneous improvisations. It's beautiful, soulful, homegrown-quirky, and full of love and devotion...open your heart and lose the mind as you sing along!
