简介
Katmaz’s cinematic sound burns with flames of desire, tears of longing and shining optimism. It seamlessly blends analog and digital, weaving through multiple genres, such as rock, soul, funk and r&b, on its fantastic journey. Each track flows seamlessly to the next, transitioning from dissected sound waves to reverberating psychedelic guitar tones and samples of his own voice, delivering an immersive, enveloping and ultimately consistent project. But at its very essence, Tremolo Love is an EP rooted in the journey of a relationship. Hello, I am dying to know your name is echoed in the aptly named, opening track, “Hello”. It signifies an introduction and exciting new beginning for what’s to come. “Don’t Change” is more detailed, more personal and more intimate. Once the introduction is made, not everything is easy sailing. The object of desire is unavailable and pressed by Katmaz to move on as abusive relationships often won’t change in time. Once that love is achieved, where to next? “Tremolo Love” explores love’s peaks and valleys, what happens when expectations aren’t met and both parties drift into ambivalence towards one another. The track fades away calling to crawl into my wasteland, she don’t care no more, I don’t care no more. “Each Other” the lead track off Katmaz’s debut EP, delivers that healthy dose of optimism that urges everyone to love in the present. Don’t let the pain of a break up or your overthinking keep you from embracing the potential love that is presenting itself in that singular moment. Slow down, realize that basic human understanding and interaction is the groundwork for all love…ultimately, all we have is one another. The EP closes with an ode to just that: closure. “One More” delves into the need of having just one more contact with the other person. Relationship’s lifespan provides reference and connection that seems wasteful to just let die. This is how that longing can overpower.
