Since 2006, SELVA starts the process of composition, arrangement and pre-production of the themes to be included in the new album. At the end of October of 2007, the recording process starts by the drums at the Instituto de Música Contemporánea *IMC, with technical support and engineering by Pierluiggy Barberis; guitar, bass and vocals were recorded at Monostereo Studio, where was also mixed and mastered by MonoJorge Balladares (guitar) and assisted at recording by Felipe Sarmiento (bass). The production was made by “de I” Productions. The album includes the themes “Atrapados”, “Lo malo y lo bueno”, “Irrealidad”, “Luz” and “Evolución”, with more elaborate music and introspective lyrics, starting by our experience as humans, in the “here and now” to act with consciousness and responsibility both individual and universal. Also the songs “Criminal”, “Voces”, “Ley” and “Sabia ironía” expose a social and nature related perspective. The purpose of the album “LUZ”, is finding the medium to generate consciousness, coming from this music filled with energy and lyrics that suggests reflection and meditation, showing thoughts about reality as personal as environmental, sharing “music that generates a space of awareness and consciousness”.
