简介
Bill Edwards is both a master of the songwriting craft as well as a seasoned and compelling performer. The fusion of these talents creates a dynamic double-whammy that has knocked out listeners from New York to Los Angeles. He currently divides his musical time between Ann Arbor, MI and Nashville, TN. With five full-length CDs under his belt, Bill Edwards is indeed a musical force to be reckoned with – and one that, once experienced, will never be forgotten! Bill is best known as a stellar songwriter. His expertly crafted music and his finely honed and frequently clever lyrics have commanded the attention of top-notch country recording artists as well as a host of independent performers, all of whom are eager to cover his songs. A songwriting collaboration with Nashville singer/songwriter Whit Hill produced the tongue-in-cheek classic “What’d I Do”, which was heard on the hit HBO series True Blood. Bill’s songwriting prowess also led him to a first-place finish in the Country division of Billboard’s ® national songwriting contest. Whether composing a tender ballad or taking a satirical poke at politics, penning a rockin’ salute to the weekend or a lament of love gone wrong, creating a nostalgic time capsule of childhood or expanding on a laugh-out-loud witty observation, Bill’s songs wrap around listeners like a warm blanket on a cold winters’ night, drawing them in and always inspiring honest, heartfelt emotion. Bill is also an entertaining and captivating performer. His skills were sharpened during his years with the East Coast band Blaze, and fine-tuned through countless solo performances at such well-known venues as Nashville’s own Bluebird Café and the renowned Ann Arbor, Michigan venue, The Ark. His easy stage presence and charmingly humorous stories make the audience members feel right at home, while his outstanding instrumentation and warm tenor voice always leave them wanting more. Bill is equally comfortable in front of an audience of twenty or two thousand.
