After the release of Mista M.A.D. aka MAD MIC's album "Broken Silence" in 2003, both MAD MIC and Lyrical Lunatic seemed to vanish from the hip hop scene, leaving no trace of existence. In 2005 the artist MAD MIC formerly known as Mista M.A.D. resurfaced along side the late Dj Chyl (R.I.P.) with several vocal apearances on various mix CD's as well as alot of behind the scene work like submitting other artists material for mix CD's, helping promote mix CD's, and producing tracks for artist on the mixes. MAD MIC's groundbreaking visual audio effort "The Photo Album" was recorded with the goal of creating tracks that will give listeners the ability to literally "see what's being said". "The Photo Album" was completed during 2005, but has never been released for various reasons. In mid 2006, with the help of several mind altering substances MAD MIC and Lyrical Lunatic began recording new tracks, some of which where compiled into "Tales From The Cryptic", the album consists of the duo spitting hardcore rhymes over tracks that sound like they're straight from a golden-age hip hop compilataion. The duo began releasing underground albums in the late 90's, albums like Lyrical Lunatic "Lunaticapacalypse" 2000. Mista M.A.D. "Micah's Prophecy" 2001. M.A.D. Entertainment presents "NEMESIS" ( Mista M.A.D. & Lyrical Lunatic) 2002. and Mista M.A.D. "Broken Silence" 2003. along with several underground tapes dating back to 1997. The unique grimey analogue recordings produced by MAD MIC and Lyrical Luntic helped gain attention and established a new sound during the dawn of the new millenium and truly impacted the sound of KY hip hop.
