简介

The Honeymoon Killers third self-produced album is their most diverse and personal collection of originals to date. Writing and playing together since 1984, the current lineup is Ken Nash (songwriter, vocals, guitar), Larry Addington (bass, vocals), Keith Harrison (drums, vocals) and Rob Gunderson (lead guitar). "Nightmare Alley" echoes the fast chord changes of X and the Ramones in a paean to the joy of watching cult movies. "Dirty Little Lies" is a raunchy protest against fake news. "Crazy Annie" is that wild-eyed young homeless girl in the street you wonder about. "I-5 Corridor" was written on a drive from Southern California to Canada, inspired by Grand Theft Auto, Two Lane Blacktop, Badlands and Bonnie & Clyde. "ImHoTep In Love" is the full story of the Universal Studios Boris Karloff mummy (the original all-time most persistent love-struck stalker). "Monster Town" is Ken's confession to being a sixties' Monster Kid at heart, somewhat in the style of Greenwich Village folk music of the era. "Surrender" is a scream against the White Supremacist overthrow of American democracy. "Behind At Work" is a rockabilly ditty about changing habits with age. "Burn" is based on a true story while hitching from NYC to Woodstock. You know who you are. "Give Me A Break" is an honest crying-in-my-beer country lament of lost love. "S Clay Wilson" is a celebration of the extreme pirates and strumpets art by the wildest of the Zap Comix artists. Most definitely adults only, if you should choose to partake. "Best of Times" is based on Dickens' intro paragraph to A Tale of Two Cities, 1859. Still relevant. "Winter of '68" is another true story that begins on a commune in Pennsylvania and moves through Golden Gate Park while the rest of the country is going crazy. Music inspired by the San Francisco sound, especially Quicksilver and Stoneground. Album art by Tiffany Nash.
