Mar recorded 'The Sound' at Peace Mountain Lodge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in July 2007. Joining Mar on this record was world-renowned cellist Zoe Keating, who is well known for work that she's done with Imogen Heap and Rasputina. Also, violinist Anton Patzner who plays violin for the top indie band Bright Eyes. Flex Arnason produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the album. Mar is signed by Ring Road Records of Fayetteville, Arkansas,the Ozark Mountain's first and only independent international record label.
