简介
I've dedicated my life to songwriting. Vividly, I still remember listening to music in the back seat of the family VW Square Back on those sticky, hot summer days in Tampa, FL. I was too young to know much, but I knew one thing was for sure. Music made me so many things. It made me remember. It made me forget. It made me think. I made me numb. It made me sad at times. It made me look beyond the present and deep into the past. But most of all it made me happy. Those classic R&B, Pop, Rock-n-Roll, and Lounge Singer tunes my mother used to play still ring in my ears from time to time as a reminder of where I come from. Music has always influenced me. The soundtrack of my life is vast and it continues to grow each day. For a songwriter it's impossible to pinpoint where one's style was developed. Sure, we all have our influences and desert island records, but there are so many sounds, so many styles, so many personas and individuals that have left a mark on our psyche as we pass through their worlds riding those sweet melodies. I hope one day to be as influential to one young artist as so many greats were to me. I don't seek notoriety or fame. I seek only to share the honesty and integrity I have dedicated to the craft of songwriting with others interested in carrying the torch lit by the late greats. We're at a time where music is as vulnerable as it has ever been. It is my duty as well as yours to contribute to the evolution of song. This single 'Saw You In My Dreams' is my most endearing contribution. I wrote this song the day after I found out my wife was pregnant with my son, Holden. I dreamt I was standing outside an elevator. As I reached for the button to call the elevator I heard a tiny voice over my shoulder say "Hi, daddy." I turned around and looked down only to find this young child starring up at me with a big, bright, smile. For some reason I opened my eyes immediately. My guitar was starring back at me. Without hesitation I wrote 'Saw You In My Dreams' I hope you enjoy it.
