Ryan Nealon, 22, is a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. Nealon, is currently studying at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), pursuing a BA in Ethnomusicology - Jazz Studies. Nealon, is currently studying under renowned jazz vocalist/pianist Michele Weir, along with James Newton - flautist/composer, Barbara Morrison - a renowned jazz/blues singer - and Ruth Price - a jazz singer and founder of the Jazz Bakery. Nealon has also studied under other artists such as Grammy Nominated jazz singer Gretchen Parlato, Pianist Tamir Hendelman, and Thomas James O'Leary who performed the title role of "The Phantom," from The Phantom of The Opera on Broadway. With the guidance provided from his teachers, Nealon has branched off into the professional world of music and is slowly but surely breaking through. Nealon's vocal genre takes root in R&B, but also features pop, jazz, and funk. Nealon focuses most of his time currently on gigging with his 12-piece band around SoCal as well as recording--he plans to release a full length debut album hopefully by 2018. As future plans go, Nealon is planning to release several new exciting collaborations along with new original music in 2017 so stay tuned!
