This album was created as a gift for mothers. It is a collection of 11 songs written by Joanna Drummond about the lived experience of being a mother. Each woman’s story is unique, whether it’s the things they quietly desire, the daily pressures, or the many joys, yet the shared experience of raising children brings women together in a special way. A true celebration of motherhood, Songs for Mother's Day features the vocal collaboration of five local Calgary artists who all mothers themselves.
