The album "S&W Model 2 of The Far East" is first recording of his regular trio format, Hikaru Toho on bass and Masatsugu Hattori on drums. The set mixes standards like “Speak Low”, “Skylark”, Randy Weston’s “Hi-Fly”and Charles Mingus’s “Better Git It In Your Soul”and originals. Some tracks played with intentionally detuned “Honky Tonk” piano.
