Gaz Simmonds has gone for an Acoustic, Folky feeling for this EP. At times there is even glimpses of a country influence. The songs are written from ups of Gaz's first year of Marriage, and the downs of losing 2 family members in the same year. 'My Wife, my Cat and my Family' is intentionally very different to Gaz's previous EP, 'Strength in Love' but is still built on the same foundation found in Gaz's Christian faith.
