Dream Sequence Gunmen (DSG) is the collaborative duo of Nazim Chambi and Warren Russell; “Sandcastles” is our first release and features some exquisite flute from special guest Chris Lawrence. The song opens to the sounds of crashing waves and wheeling gulls as a flute softly trills in haunting accompaniment, contemplative. “Sandcastles” grows in strength as it evolves, combining majestically orchestral elements and full-on guitar pyrotechnics in an atypical blend as it drives itself forward towards purposeful resolution. A native of Talequah, Oklahoma, Chris Lawrence currently resides in Hampton, VA with his wife Sarina and daughter Amara. A saxophone and flute player by trade, Chris currently serves as Ceremonial Band Instructor at the US Army School of Music in Virginia Beach. Guitarist Nazim Chambi has cut an individualistic musical swath through his mainstream peers since graduating from the Los Angeles Musician’s Institute in 2010. A frequent feature of label showcases and the subject of numerous articles in various music industry magazines, Nazim has toured across the US with singer Andrea Meli as classic rock and blues-driven ME&U since the group’s Hollywood inception in 2007.
