"How long have you been playing guitar, and writing your own songs?" To be honest with you, I have an awful memory. I remember that I picked up a guitar because I'd always loved to sing and it was to accompany me singing, so I could start learning songs from my favourite artists and play them to myself. My mum sings and plays guitar too and I remember when I was young, she taught me 3 chords and then I just went wild and never gave up. It always blew my mind that you can make music just like that, take a guitar anywhere with you and just play, it's the ultimate addiction for me. "What made you realise you wanted to become a singer songwriter?" Ultimately, the real kick was going to University. I've never been academically inclined, but I sat through school, did my share and got what I needed. I'd say from the age of 17/18 I really began to believe that music is what I want to do as a living. I went to University to study Photojournalism with the plan of sitting out the three years and then pursuing music; but it took me less than a few hours at Uni to realise that it just wasn't meant for me. It wouldn't have made sense to spend all that money and valuable time on something that I didn't ultimately want to do. After a term of writing songs in lectures and drawing my EP cover for Hunter's Heart in a lecture (not that I knew it was going to be at the time), I left Uni. Now here I am! "Where did you get the inspiration to write your upcoming EP, Hunter's Heart?" The inspiration behind the idea of 'Hunter's Heart' is that action of taking that huge step, no matter how daunting, discouraging or impossible people may make it seem, trusting yourself that you can do it, because in the end that's all you need . If you believe in yourself, you can't go wrong, as long as you’re not a t*%t about it! It's just self belief and strength, which a lot of people seem to lack these days, for no real reason… which is awful! I'm just realising how cliché and cheesy all this sounds! You can do whatever you want if you believe and work hard enough though, I guess that's all I'm trying to say. "What are your hopes for the future?" In the immediate future I just want everything to go smoothly with the EP, and for it just to be something that people are going to want to listen to and enjoy. That's all I've ever wanted. In the more distant future, I’d like the same thing just on a grander scale. I'd love to be playing gigs not just in the UK, but in Europe or even the US. I think that's any musician’s dream. To be able to bring what they can give to an international audience.
