I am a Native Texan and longtime Arkansan. Rock and blues roots from my birth era of the 50's combine with acoustic musical influences. These merge to include the wonders of islands and coastlines. Either from experience or island fantasy along with an African chant from childhood, the tunes on O'elea reflect diversity and integration, at least from my musical narrative. James Nicholson, who was instrumental in much of the support for this project (bass, backing vocals, recording, production, mastering and keyboards) is a marvel who cut his teeth on recording and playing the strip in LA. He provides a texture that is unexpected and rich in his Tree Top Recording Service located deep within the Ozarks. James has recently recorded Arkansas Amplifier for Winslow Arkansas native, Jesse Dean. Jesse rocks the house and is an anchor with his guitar and song stylings. I am also pleased to have Hoobie Daniels from Brick Fields band, Ricky Erke from The Odds and my son Kesey Allen and Jesse Dean joining the effort on drums. Thanks to Mike Bewley for being part of the creation of the song Reggae Moon, along with M.O. Imperio Jabbamo, wherever you may be.
