The 18 songs represented here come from 5 albums recorded over a 10 year period, 1996-2006. They are all out of print and have not been available for download until now. Dan Berggren wrote and recorded 8 songs for the album "Cloudsplitter" with Peggy Lynn in 1996, to which Peggy also contributed 8 songs. The Newton Street Irregulars released an album in 1997 called "not oppressively formal." Singing with me are Dick & Carmen Gilman, Stephen Warner, John Kirk, Trish Miller, Jenny Berggren. In 1999 Dan Duggan, Peggy Lynn and I released "Ten Miles to Saturday Night" and each contributed a few songs - this was before we found our name, Jamcrackers. To help the Minerva Historical Society celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2005 I released a CD called "Minerva" which had various traditional and original songs from the area. And a year later in 2006, "Shepherd of the Wilderness: A Tribute to Paul Schaefer" was released to celebrate his life-long devotion to the Adirondacks.
