Danny Hauger returns to the original studio, settings, and instrumentals from 2011 to restore and rejuvenate the light and energy of "Chasing the Golden Age". This album brings a (more) sticker-covered guitar back to center stage for instrumentals on Open G tuning, as well as alternative rock indie songs that have been performed live around the world. Cultivating an unsigned and self-produced mentality, Hauger combines reflection and optimism into musical form led by acoustic and unplugged guitar recordings.

From the instrumental inspired by Northern California, "Jackson Valley", to the 2017 recordings "Devoted to You", the appeal of "Chasing the Golden Age" remains: what would you do if you had all the money in the world, and Hauger's answer, I would record this album, and albums like it, so that a few people around the world can also connect and enjoy it. In February of 2017, I recorded "Acoustic Duets", and inspired myself to re-create "Chasing the Golden Age", in a month that oversaw a new song every day and a new way to record acoustic guitars now known as dual mic stereo.
