Vic Dean enjoys experimenting musically with his tongue in cheek 3S method of writing / recording either Serious, Sappy, or Stupid songs. Mr. Thistle was born out of appreciation for the art of spoken word with a nod to Rollins and King Missile.

One explanation for Mr. Thistle is that VD's goal was to narrate a non-existent B grade movie and let the audience interpret which scene they're in -OR- it's rumored that while cutting grass VD would pass a certain tree with a certain thistle plant growing and decided to strike up a prickly chat with his new friend Mr. Thistle.
