For many years people joked with me, asking me if I was like the Pied Piper of Hamelin,capable of hypnotizing rats, mice, or any animal or being that could disturb our lives. The Pied Piper of Hamelin is the perfect tale for a flutist because it makes us believe that with our flute we can achieve anything.The ability to hypnotize and enchant makes us a kind of superhero. But the important lesson that this wonderful story gives us, is that each one of us has a talent, a something special that makes us unique and which gives us the ability to transformour surroundings,the same way the Pied Piper does. The Pied Piper of Hamelin is the perfect tale to develop all our fantasy. We decided to produce a musical that turned out to be a huge hit, attended by hundreds of people. As a result, we produced a CD so that all the children of the world could enjoy this German folk story collected 200 years ago by the Grimm brothers. This refreshing theatrical version full of music (classical, rap, salsa, pop) and a wonderful scrennplay written by the extraordinary Iris Dubs goes beyond "just" hypnotizing rats and children, indeed becoming a story full of magic that teaches us about the power of music and words as forces capable of changing the world. Justice, honesty, friendship, faith and love are values highlighted in our story. All of them much needed in our modern society since they have been gradually diluted in the 200 years since this story was written for the first time, so here we are... I just hope that "The magical story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin" will inspire many to let out the Pied Piper that we all have inside,making us more capable of dreaming, believing and flying without any limitation other than the infinite...
