简介
When I was 4 years old my father had just brought my siblings to school and when we got back to the house we sat down for our usual lunch together where he would slide a few records across the table typically including Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Doors, Frank Sinatra, and wide variety of other artists. I started playing when I was about 7 years old on the cello and at the age of 9 discovered that bass guitar was the same instrument flipped on the side. Then began playing percussion and piano in school. I got together with a few friends around the age of 13 and started jamming in a my first band and we called ourselves Devoid...through the next couple years I continued studying music theory and playing in different bands and at around 15 or 16 I got together with some friends to form a band called Liquid Omega which I will sport the tattoo of on my arm for life at this point haha. While playing regionally around WI with Liquid Omega I began attending Madison Media Institute to study Audio/Recording Technology. With mild regional success behind us Liquid Omega split and I began searching for other bands to play with in the Madison, WI area and that's when I joined a band called Level Down, a local hard rock band. After a year or so of playing locally I parted ways with the band. Since the days of playing in Liquid Omega until the time of recording this album I began writing solo material that never really fit the bill for the bands I was playing in. After going my way from Level Down I took a long hiatus until a friend one night encouraged me to play the acoustic and sing a little bit for everybody and from there I started my solo career. For the past several years I have been adding to the material written back when I was 18 and now at the age of 28 I have compiled 10 of these songs into this album hence "Decade". I've always been into a large variety as far as music is concerned. The first album I ever bought was Black Sabbath "We Sold Our Soul for Rock n Roll" and to this day will just as easily be rocking out to Slipknot with a shot of Jameson in my system as I would drinking a glass of red and relax to some Dean Martin. I hope you enjoy this album as much I enjoyed writing it.
