Representing the Southeastern conference of Hip-hop and Rap music , Tennessee native, J Schick is not your ordinary Southern boy. Well ahead of the game in a Northern turning lane; J-Schick is destined for fame and super-stardom. In the words of Nas Escobar, the great Hip-hop legend; “it ain’t hard to tell,” when you close your eyes and see the mental murals and feel the honest conviction he displays through rhyme from line to line. The realness mixed with creativity, humor, passion, compassion, understanding and just being himself, shines thru naturally like the northern Aurora Borealis. As a fatherless child, manhood was derived through the streets he grew up and hustled on. This all commenced in the sixth grade. From Cd players and clothing to candy; a petty start of something small, became something big through J Schick’s hustling abilities that came natural as pitching rocks. So he did… Needless to say the only thing that changed over the years was the product. His motto is “Go big or don’t go at all.” Those that invested in him, did so blindly. You may call them the scum of the earth but J Schick refers to them as “sacrificial stepping stones that served a purpose.” ” One man’s addiction is another mans treasure. As a father, your responsibilities are too feed, clothe and shelter your creations however, you have too.” No man never showed him the way to be a quote, unquote, man. “Life is a curve ball, you either go down swinging or you come up pitching.” There is no manual to manhood, just trial and error. All that is gained is lost but growth is mandatory. One thing that was never lost was the music. Even when there was no beat, there was music. The only thing that soothes the savage beast is organized noise and his kids. Everything else has come to pass but this is constant. To be well rounded you gotta go through some hard things in life that break the edges off. “Music was always my release. The one thing that relieved stress was my hobby.” He claims, he has only been rapping seriously for about two years now and has a lot to improve…Imagine that….
