P.L.F.专辑介绍:second verse same as the first - 80% Noktorn, January 2nd, 2011 This is the second PLF album and it sounds basically the same as the first PLF album because I don't really believe this band is substantially concerned with progressing their style to some undefined artistic event horizon. I think they mostly just want to play oldschool grind and then probably get drunk with their bros and talk about unity or whatever grind kids do these days. If you haven't heard PLF, it's pretty simple to describe: take early (but not super early) Napalm Death, Siege, and maybe a little Terrorizer, blend them, modernize the sound a bit, and improve their technicality ability with their instruments. Voila. PLF. I'm not sure if this is better or worse than their first album because at this point I'm not entirely convinced they're different releases. They seem to be the same thing to me: a bunch of short, fast grind songs with an array of speedy riffs that could be found in the Cripple Bastards catalog, supported by a pretty organic drum performance and alternately shrieking and bellowing vocals. It's a pleasing package, if not especially unusual or creative, but as stated prior, those are not things that PLF appear to be particularly concerned with. The matter of whether you should buy this album is pretty simple- just ask yourself this question: "Do I like grindcore?" The first word which pops into your head is what you should do as far as buying this goes. My first word was "banana" so I'm still struggling but maybe it'll be different for you. PLF is probably going to do the same release over and over again until they die or everyone stops buying their records and I'm not positive either of those things would really stop them. They're about one of the most solid underground grind bands out there today and appear to really indulge in the DIY spirit, so I'd recommend spending your money on this before anything on Relapse if you have any integrity at all. The music is better too. This is one of those simple pleasures in life that shouldn't be overly analyzed; just listen to the angry men play fast music and be happy.
