Biography - Derek Reese I have been playing music for thirty years and it started at age four. I started with drums.. My mother took me to drum and piano lessons. My father played guitar and I started taking an interest in learning guitar. I have had some training in the beginning but I always had an ear for music. Music felt very natural to me right away. After practicing for eight hours a day for years I started playing with other musicians. I joined a band called big boys when I was nine years old. We recorded a forty- five with the title song called "Big Boy". We also shot a video for the title track where I sang and played the drums. After years of playing live and recording in lots of recording studios ,and after singing, playing drums, guitar and piano I started to want to do everything myself. I built a recording studio and started to write and produce all of my own material. I still play with other musicians and sometimes require their energy for a specific project. I compose instrumentals and fully produced songs with vocals. I intend on doing music for the rest of my life. It is what I am good at and it is my true love. I have written a lot of music for other people and enjoy challenging myself by putting all the pieces together. I hope you enjoy my music.
