Having delighted us with previous EP releases “Love Letters” and “Coldest Winter” (https://mickimiller.bandcamp.com/), Micki is back with new EP Summertime Chi. Set for a June release, she says this EP is her favorite, and if you have had the pleasure of hearing any of her prior work then you know that statement means a world of good for the new project and our listening ears. Her first release Love Letters was a journey through various nuances of the emotion, from tracks like You, to Slow Down, to Water and Try Again you can find a song for each of the stages you might be experiencing in your love journey. EP Coldest Winter delivers great reminders of how love and music brightens everything around you and with tracks like All for You, Coldest Winter, Diamonds and my personal favorite ILYM, musicians, singers and music lovers alike will thoroughly enjoy. While previewing Summertime Chi, I could not help but to feel good, and remember every reason why I want to love and be loved. The closest comparison I can think of to describe the way Micki’s music feels is when I’m in the car or the house and I want a pick me up and I play some Maze, or some Chaka or Miss Badu and it fills me up with GREAT energy and it makes everything you are doing just that much more bearable or enjoyable. A singer, musician, songwriter and producer, Micki is able to fully capture and then share the essence and spirit of love and life in this flow of tracks. It’s a must have!
