It's been four years since my last record and in that time I have had the pleasure of playing with scores of great musicians. While touring in support of "The Rage Of The Teen-Age," I was able to travel to places I had only read about in books, and to see some pretty incredible/ridiculous things along the way. In all of these travels I have come to the conclusion that there truly isn't a finer collection of mu¬sicians than The Modern Sounds. I owe them the biggest thank you for lending their talent, time, and energy to making this record. Those who are familiar with their work, individually as well as collectively know what I'm talking about. Those who are hearing them for the first time here | will soon find out. And don't worry if you're left wanting f more, they have several releases of their own available. In fact, scrolling through an impressive catalog of hits, you'd be hard pressed to find a Ventrella Records release that doesn't feature these boys. They are hard working musicians at the top of their craft, and most impressive is the fact that they just keep getting better. I will speak for them as well as myself when I say we all owe a special thanks to family and friends. Too many to name individually—wives, girlfriends, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and in one case even a daughter. As the joke goes, "What do you call a single musician? Homeless." j There's a lot of truth in that, and though reading this you may feel like your name should be here, all I can say is, if you got this record for free, then you're part of this bunch we'd like to thank. I just hope you dig the music.
