简介
Alison's answer for 'where she's from', is America. Born in California, raised in Washington State, she has lived in Guam, Florida, California, Nevada and Hawaii. She now resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Despite the constant motion of her life, creatively there has always been one consistent element; music. She has found places to write and perform songs from the swaying palm trees of the Hawaiian islands in the pacific, to the bright lights and heat of Las Vegas, Nevada and from Country ‘Oprys’ of the rural South, to the inspiring culture and history of Europe. An exceptional vocalist, Alison has received airplay as an indie Blues artist on radio stations all over the world. In 2006, after hearing songs from her very first cd Crossroad Alison was advised by several top industry professionals from both Nashville and Los Angeles that Nashville is where she needed to be in order to advance her writing and to fine-tune her artistry. Alison started traveling back and forth from Hawaii in January of 2007 and made a permanent move to Nashville in June of the same year. Alison recorded and released her cd, Blonde Hair Blues, in 2009 with all but one song being either written or co-written by her. Blonde Hair Blues has received airplay on Blues radio stations in the U.S., Europe and South American markets. In 2010 and 2011 this cd reached a top 5 Blues album chart positions with Airplay Direct a leading artist to radio direct download provider. Her new cd Love All Of Me, releasing in March 2011, is a continuation of Alison’s ability to create memorable music. Her vocals and her writing have timeless feel to them that makes you want to hit the replay button A LOT.. Alison Joy Williams has performed for audiences in venues large and small both nationally and internationally. She will be on a radio and stage tour through the spring and summer of 2011 in the US and Europe. "Alison Joy Williams always finds a memorable way to write about Love and the Blues from a new perspective. "The Blues Sure Get Me" a new song on her upcoming cd is a perfect example of finding a new way to look at an old subject. On stage, she never fails to bring the message home. Alison's powerful voice leaves no doubt about the meaning of the song." Joey Wolpert , Recording Engineer (Natalie Cole, Bette Midler...)
