简介
From 25 years collectively serving as worship leaders, their rock and worship songs rise out of their experiences of walking alongside and ministering to this generation. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, The Exchange's message reminds us that in this disconnected and dark world, there is a hope of healing that is found through the exchange Jesus made on the cross for our lives. (1 Peter 2:24). Delivered with solid music; songs such as “You Are Good”, “Beautiful King” and “I Give” celebrate that God is a good God who is deeply devoted to us. This is not just another band born out of a garage. Collectively, they represent over 30 years of a unique musical resume including classically trained piano, percussion, vocals, guitar, sound engineering, recording and music ministry. When they met just over two years ago in 2010, for an initial jam session, an immediate synergy sparked as a result of combining their unique backgrounds. 100 shows later and growing, they continue to deliver a fun and engaging performance with a depth of message and ministry. ….."The fact that each member is under the age of 20 and that they have been a band for about a year makes this project that much more remarkable. True worship leaders in their community and committed friends, I see a bright future for The Exchange." Review by Sara Napier, Christcore, September 2011. Through rock and worship, The Exchange’s songs are written with the hope of moving this generation closer….to one another, to God and to healing. Be part of one of their events and you will feel immediately grafted in. They create community – bridging the gap between the stage and the audience. Their live show is filled with guitar swings, jumping and unbridled energy…inviting you to join in; while we together, live and sing the truth that life’s pain and hurt can be healed through connected-ness with each other and God. Their newest release, “Tell Me Your Story”, is a song about how each of us has a personal story that has shaped us into who we are. We need a generation which listens….to people and their joys, their sorrows, and their journeys. Even more, through this song, we are reminded that God is close, close enough to listen and heal your pain. Hurt people,..hurt people. It is time to be healed people, so we can bring healing. Healing happens; as we listen to each other and to God. ”Tell me the story about those scars, where you have been and who you are; feeling like we are worlds apart, but I will listen”.
