In September of 2004 I received a double organ transplant that saved my life. Not too long after I was in a music studio and trying to get my feet back on the ground and begin life again. I met Lisa Bouchelle who took an interest in what I'd gone through. Over the following years Lisa and I became close friends. I assumed the role of a surrogate father in some respects. We often talked about how people can overcome the difficulties we encounter in life. One of those discussions lead to writing the song "Some Bridges." We've played that song for various groups of people going through some hard times in life and found it helped them so we decided to record it. Music is healing, and it is also one of the most powerful forms of expression anyone can use to make a point. Most of my music is about telling a story or making an observation of the human experience. I love life and music tells my story.
