Ken lives in Charlotte, NC, and has been entangled in a love affair with music throughout his life. He was singing along with records as a pre-schooler, and began writing his first songs at age 10. As a teenager, he learned to play drums, guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, and some keyboards, and embraced a wide variety of musical styles. Most of Ken's life as a musician has been focused on the bass, performing in east coast bands and studio work. But after bowing out of the music scene for a while, he jumped back in 2001, focusing on the guitar and songwriting. He currently is gigging in the Carolinas, performing his own brand of acoustic pop/rock and ballads. His love of the outdoors; hiking and camping, and whitewater canoeing and kayaking, is inspiration for many of his songs. First Descent is Ken's first CD as a solo artist. He sings about paddling, nature, love, and life, and uses varying styles to take the listener on an invigorating and musical journey. Listen . . . and make the journey with him. Ken is currently working on a new solo CD, and an instrumental CD of jazz/blues/rock fusion; exploring different musical styles with help from his friends. Both should be ready for release in late 2008.
