The Weaver Chorale was organized under the direct supervision of the Holy Ghost and the will date of Robert Weaver in April of 1998. The group started with only 9 singers, but by the time they debuted they had over 25 singers. The service was held at Old Path Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. in Vallejo, CA. With Special Guest, Ezell Ealy 111 and Friends,recording artists Debra Henderson, Keith Pringle, Vashawn Mitchell, and Dr. Kevin Bond (the voice behind James Hall and Worship & Praise) In 1999 the Weaver Chorale released their 1st CD single entitled "He'll Make Everything Alright" and was featured in Imani a national gospel magazine. In 2001, and 2002 The Weaver Chorale was nominated for best ensemble/group of the year @ the Justin Cummings Gospel Academy Awards held @ the Paramount Theater in Oakland, CA. In 2002 the Weaver Chorale recorded their 1st live recording. In 2003, Robert Weaver relocated to Atlanta, GA to further pursue his education and expand the Chorale to another genre bringing one ministry to two locations. The Lord has afforded the Weaver Chorale the opportunity to share the stage with great gospel recording artist, such as Edwin & Walter Hawkins and the Love Center Choirs, Helen J.H. Stephen and the Northern CA Chapter of the GMWA, Ricky Dillard, Hezekiah Walker, B. Chase Williams, Lashun Pace, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, just to name a few. Every year the Weaver Chorale sponsors a Thanksgiving benefit concert which all the proceeds are used to buy food for the homeless. Over the holidays this ministry has fed 100's of families and has made countless donations to those in need. The Weaver Chorale vision is to unite a plethora of young individuals from various backgrounds and denominations to come together to Minister God’s word through song.
