简介
Following the infectious rhythmic cascade of "Heartracer," Heartracer creates a vocal experience that is perfect for the summer, aptly titled, Summer Gold EP. The EP builds on what the release of "Heartracer" did which is illuminate the crisp and cool synthpop that Heartracer has creatively crafted. The opener, "Overboard" immediately pulls the listener in, offering up a vibe reminiscent of beach waves, picnic bbqs, a ride with the one you love down a highway, and all of the elements of summer. Chip and Chris have a knack for embracing pop for its sophisticated and awe-inspiring qualities. "Heartracer" is pleasant and just extremely catchy. Upon first hearing it, there was a considerable amount of time spent pushing the replay button. The title track keeps within the same radiant disposition as "Overboard," but feels to be a bit more lowkey in edginess. Very radio friendly, alternative, rock and pop stations should definitely pick this and put it in rotation. "Ice on The Streets," finds Heartracer seemingly going retro similar to the sound of The Cure or The Cars. It is a youthful tune that'll undoubtedly make one want to dance no matter where they happen to be. On "Open Door," Summer Gold EP's finale, the fast paced feel is replaced with exceptionally innovative goodness. There are tinges of 80's music with this cut as well, but Heartracer manages to bridge the gap between the generations with club pop polish that not to many artists can do these days. An impression leaver, the Summer Gold EP, serves a blend of spirited songs that artistically harmonious to the ears. After finishing the final track, the sunny synthpop singers will have you wanting to hear more and more of their easy-going nostalgic recordings. Final Grade: A -Kyle Jarmon examiner.com
