Brooklyn-based producer Conor Heffernan, aka DATALOG, conceived his debut EP, Threads, after a hiatus from a five-year career in pop music. Playing keyboards for a band on Doghouse Records, he worked with producers such as Mark Platti (David Bowie, the Cure) and Jason Hill (Louis XIV). After supporting established acts the All-American Rejects and Shiny Toy Guns in worldwide tours, he departed from this venture in 2009 to start the solo project DATALOG.

Combining tight melodies, swirling soundscapes, and infectious beats, Threads is a sonic journey into the genres of jazz, electro, and World. Heffernan’s formal jazz training gives a nod to groundbreaking artists like Four Tet and Portishead; his penchant for tripped-out grooves makes this music fit for the club and living room alike.
