Grupo Chévere is a leading Japanese salsa mixture band. It was formed in 1987 with former Orquesta de la Luz bassist Hiroyasu Ito as leader. All 12 of its members are Japanese. Its compositions, arrangements,and performance are all world-class. Grupo Chevere is attracting a great deal of attention from salsa fans, as well as DJs, all over the world.
