Terry Dexter's voice is amazingly rich and soulful for her age - it's hard to believe that she was only a teenager at the time this debut album was recorded. The overall sound of this album is mature and graceful. This is NOT teeny-bop or flava-of-the-month R&B. Terry's singing really comes through especially on ballads like "Anything," "Strayed Away," and "I Don't Need You," which are timeless gems. Personally, I could've done without some of the uptempo songs such as "Are You Feeling Me" and "Yeah" because the slowjams are what make this album so amazing. Why is it that REAL talent like her never get the recognition they deserve?
