简介
a few years ago I was performing at Dick’s Den, a legendary club in Columbus, Ohio, with Eli Vazquez and Roger Hines. I thought it would liven up the show to include a comedy bit. So I worked out some shtick and after warming up an enthusiastic audience with a few tunes, I started delivering my lines. At first I got polite silence, then awkward shuffling, and then finally a heckler from the back of the room shouted: “Do what you’re good at!” I took his sage advice, and the rest of the night at Dick’s Den was a success. Now that advice has become the title and goal of this recording. That is, write or rearrange nice tunes and collaborate with amazing artists. That is what I’m good at.
