Norman Petty was Tim Otto's mentor when Tim was only 24 years old in 1983. Norman became ill with leukemia that same year, which made Tim Otto's music one of Norman's final Productions. Norman died the following year in 1984 in Lubbock, Texas the home of his most well known artist...Buddy Holly. Tim's session was recorded in Norman's Theater Studio, (24 tracks), in downtown Clovis in 1983. On Bass was: Scott Nelson, Drums: Lynn Williams & Guitar & Keyboard: Mike Demus, Tim Otto: Lead Vocals. The sound is much bigger than the older recordings made in the 1950's. The three studio musicians used on this recording, played all of the instruments and the background vocals were provided by two fabulous female singers from Texas. Tim sang lead on all of the album's cuts including the four Produced by Norman Petty. In 1985, Tim returned to Clovis, and remixed the session with Vi Petty & Billy Stull engineering. Tim is happy with the results. Tim's Productions, were all Produced by Tim Otto in Nashville & Portland in 1983. He was assisted in Portland by his close friend: Chris Charles who played more than his share of instruments and sang all the background vocals himself!
