For Crissie McCree, 2012 was all about changes. She logged thousands of miles in trips back home to record an album with "the guys", whom she'd left behind a few years before to pursue a more traditional profession. In the summer of 2012, she was finally ready to leave that career and admit to herself that the only way to happiness was through music. Crissie left her job, sold everything she could, and headed to the coast. By the end of the year, the journey and the album were finished. Although the songs on "New Day" were written from a vulnerable place, you can't miss the underlying message of strength in each track.
