Music critics and world-renowned radio DJ's have referred to Son Lewis as "the REAL deal". His love of the greatest songs of the past are not just reverent re-treads but modern interpretations. In the CD "Talking with Ghosts", Lewis brings to life some particular songs that inspired him to remain a performing artist for over 40 years.... The "Ghosts" are not the songwriters; some are gone but some are still with us. The "Ghosts" are those memories of the past, those specific linkages to time and events that make us who we are today. To forget them is to forget who we are and from whence we came.

Son began his professional performance career in 1965 in High School and since then he has continued to bring us new songs, classic Blues and R&B in both acoustic solo format and with his rocking band. He is a "musicians musician" and his band mates have included personnel from Mink DeVille, Exuma, Ricki Lee Jones Band, The Shots, Rockett 88 and more. He has toured with and opened for John Hammond, Johnny Copeland, Savoy Brown, The Manhattan Transfer, Tracy Nelson, Mose Allison, The Nighthawks, Elvin Bishop and a HOST of others.
