I wrote this song about hunger in the USA as I thought of one in seven children in our nation going to bed hungry. Food rescue (dumpster diving) is one legal solution to the problem. Most grocery stores compact their waste so there is no access to it. But about 10% of the stores throw their hundreds to thousands of dollars of fresh bread, vegetables, fruit, entrees, dairy products, and floral products in large bins behind the stores that are unlocked.
