DANIEL PÁEZ Daniel Paez is a young songwriter of Ecuadorian origin and comes from a family with a solid music background, His mother Jeaneth Salgado is a well recognized Ecuadorian singer who won the OTI musical festival in her country in 1980. Daniel began his musical career at the age of 8 when he was the runner up in various singing competitions. With only 20 years, Daniel stands out as a performer in various musical genre such as pop, ballad, classical music, “Big Band,” and jazz. His talent and charisma on stage have led him to presentations in various locations, such as the Dusseldorf Fashion Show in Germany in 2007 and the EXA Concert in the Ruminahui Coliseum in Quito, Ecuador in 2009. Since 2006, Daniel has performed for hundreds of people in uncountable events. In 2008, Daniel launched his promotional campaign with the release of his first single entitled “Ya no es un juego” (“Not a Game Anymore”) with which he toured the entire Ecuador. This first single was selected as song of the year by “Majestad” FM radio in Ecuador. The same year, Daniel was invited by Damiano, an Ecuadorian songwriter, to perform and record a video for the song “No Me Quitas Nada” (You Take Nothing Away) for the “Fathers Forever” Foundation. In January 2009, he launched his second promotional single entitled “Otro día sin ti” (“Another Day without You”) of his authorship, and later on he recorded the videoclip. The song was chosen as musical background for the Brazilian soap opera “Almas Gemelas” (Twin Souls) transmissions in Ecuador. The awards and recognitions from Ecuadorian radios received by Daniel are: Song of the Year (2008) from Radio Majestad, Nomination to Best New Artist (2008) from Exa FM, Nomination to Best Revelation Artist from Los 40 Principales, Best Pop Promising Artist (2008) from Mis Bandas Nacionales, Best Young National Artist (2008) from Radio Play Internacional (Internet), and Revelation of the Year Artist (2009) from Mis Bandas Nacionales In July 2009, Daniel began the pre-production stages of his first album which concluded in July 2010. It was recorded in Los Angeles and Miami and its entitled “Cuando Te Vuelva a Ver” (When I See You Again) – a pop/ballad album with lyrics that convey the feelings of sweet and sincere love. Musical directors were Joel Someillan and Pablo Aguirre, producers and arrangers, and winners of Latin Grammys, with the contribution of renowned musicians and sound engineers. The album includes 8 songs composed by Daniel Paez, and valuable contributions by renowned composers such as Claudia Brant – Luis Fonsi, and Dany Tomas. While finishing his Album, Daniel started filming the music video for his first promotional song "Dónde Estás" (“Where You Are ”) in the Natural Reserve of Guanica in Puerto Rico, with the guidance of the very well known director David Aponte. Strongly attracted by the beauty of the island and conscious of the nobility and appreciation from the Puerto Ricans to music, especially Pop, Daniel has decided to release his album and start its promotion from and based in Puerto Rico.
